I recently wrote a OpEd in The Pitch, laying out how we might support local journalism in Kansas City. I wrote this after The Call, the oldest black-owned Kansas City newspaper, failed to publish for the first time in its 107 years running.

In the article I argue that without reporters, city governments are less efficient and many important stories go untold. I lay out why local news should be treated as a public good and how we can sustainably support it.
